The house reef has some wonderful corals and amazing fish life, so you can soak up the suns rays and cool of with a dip into the blue bay of Baan Talay.
All our guests at Baan Talay are really fortunate because some of the best snorkeling you can find on Koh Tao is right on your door step. Follow the trail down through the natural forest from your bungalow and you will find our sea front area, where there is not only an amazing Coral Reef awaiting you but also some relaxing loungers and shaded grassed roofed parasols.
We have installed concrete steps to better facilitate your safety upon entering the water, but other than that you are stepping into one of the most pristine and untouched reefs around the island. Here you will find a variety of colorful fishes, including butterfly fish, parrot fish, and Angelfishes. If you come between the months of April and June you may also be lucky enough to swim with some very friendly baby reef sharks, that are only 30 centimeters long or less.
